By creating an account, accessing, or using Windows Helper ("the App," "we," "our," or "us"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Windows Helper.
If you are using the App on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and "you" refers to both you individually and that organization.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the App and that they have read and agree to these Terms.
Windows Helper is a mobile application designed to help users troubleshoot and optimize their Windows 11 PCs. The App provides:
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
Certain features of the App require you to create an account. You may register using Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In. By creating an account, you agree to provide accurate and complete information.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:
We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain the security of your account.
Your account may include a username, display name, and profile photo sourced from your Google or Apple account. You may update your display name and profile photo within the App. You agree not to use misleading, offensive, or impersonating account information.
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
The App allows you to submit various types of community content, including fix requests, votes, comments, and tips (collectively, "Community Content"). By submitting Community Content, you understand and agree that:
By submitting Community Content, you grant Windows Helper a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, display, and distribute your Community Content in connection with the operation and promotion of the App. This license continues even if you stop using the App, but you may request deletion of your Community Content at any time.
You are solely responsible for the Community Content you submit. You represent and warrant that your submissions do not infringe on any third party's intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other legal rights, and that they comply with all applicable laws.
Use of the PC Control feature is entirely voluntary. You initiate each session by generating a session code on the PC Control companion website and entering it in the App. No connection to your PC is established without your explicit action.
The PC Control feature is limited to a pre-approved set of safe, read-only diagnostic commands (such as ipconfig, systeminfo, and similar system information commands). No arbitrary commands can be executed through this feature. The list of allowed commands is controlled entirely by Windows Helper and cannot be modified by users.
All PC Control sessions are temporary. Command data and results are automatically deleted after each session ends. We do not maintain persistent access to your PC.
By using the PC Control feature, you acknowledge and accept that:
The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Windows Helper and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. This includes, but is not limited to:
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App or its content, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code.
Windows Helper and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of Windows Helper. You may not use these marks without our prior written permission. "Windows" is a registered trademark of Microsoft Corporation; Windows Helper is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Microsoft.
You retain all rights to the content you create and submit through the App, including fix requests, comments, tips, and notes. We do not claim ownership of your content.
By submitting content that is intended to be shared with the community (fix requests, comments, tips, and votes), you grant us a license to display, distribute, and make that content available to other users as described in Section 5.2. Private content such as personal notes and favorites are not shared with other users.
You may delete your own Community Content at any time through the App. If you delete your account, all associated content will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Note that cached or archived copies of your content may persist briefly after deletion.
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and protection of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the App, you consent to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy.

All troubleshooting guides, fixes, and instructional content provided through the App are intended as general guidance only. They are not guaranteed to resolve your specific issue. Results may vary depending on your system configuration, software environment, hardware, and other factors beyond our control.
You acknowledge that modifying system settings, running diagnostic commands, and applying fixes to your Windows PC carries inherent risk. You agree that you use the App and follow its guides at your own risk. We strongly recommend:
THE APP AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.
We are not liable for any damage to your computer system, loss of data, or other harm that results from your use of the App, including but not limited to damage caused by following fix guides, using the PC Control feature, or applying any settings changes suggested by the App or its community.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WINDOWS HELPER, ITS DEVELOPERS, AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STATUTE, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE BEEN INFORMED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE APP EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR FIFTY DOLLARS ($50.00), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. IN SUCH CASES, OUR LIABILITY WILL BE LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time through Settings > Account > Delete Account. Upon deletion, your account data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the App, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to:
Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including but not limited to intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will provide notice through the App or via other appropriate means.
Your continued use of the App after any changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the App and delete your account.
We encourage you to review these Terms periodically to stay informed of any updates.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the federal or state courts located within the United States, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
