One-paragraph boilerplate
WindowsHelper is a phone app that fixes Windows PCs, paired with a free PC Companion app that runs on the computer being fixed. Instead of handing the controls to a stranger or paying a repair shop, you describe your problem in plain English, the app finds the right fix from a library of 1,000+ step-by-step fixes across 30 categories, and it guides you through it — no account needed, commands encrypted end-to-end and checked against a fixed built-in allowlist, and nothing higher-risk runs without your on-screen approval. It is built solo and self-funded by one developer. WindowsHelper is coming soon; the free PC Companion is available to download today. WindowsHelper is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Microsoft.

Why it exists

WindowsHelper is being built by one developer who spent years in IT support and grew tired of watching people — especially the elderly and those with little computer experience — get pressured into overpriced computers, unnecessary services, and repairs they didn't fully understand. The goal is to feel like having a knowledgeable IT professional on your side: one who explains what's happening, guides you through the solution, and keeps you in control of your own computer. Nothing important should happen without the user understanding it and approving it first — that's one of the core principles it's being built around.
